Unlimited backup with Backupify

There is always the danger of your ‘cloud’ data just disappearing into thin air when there is a issue with the servers it is stored on. Though there is yet to be a major company suffer this kind of problem, it is to be expected. Backupify lets you add access to accounts, to which it will then make regular backups of, meaning that most of your data from sites like Twitter, GMail and Flickr are still available for you to find if the services ever have a  problem.

The best bit is still to come, Backupify is offering free and unlimited accounts to everyone until January 31st (2010). These accounts are not trials, and if you do sign up before then you will get a free and unlimited account forever. Even if you are not someone who feels the need to backup what you have, go to the website and give it a try, it’s FREE!

They already have a impressive list of services you can backup:

  • Twitter
  • Facebook
  • Flickr
  • GMail
  • Hotmail
  • Wordpress
  • Blogger
  • Basecamp
  • Google Doc’s
  • FriendFeed
  • And a few more

They have also got YouTube, RSS Feeds and Tumblr in the making.

The only downside is that there is no restore feature if your data is lost, you can only get the raw files, but more importantly your files are not lost.

I strongly suggest you go and grab an account with Backupify before 31st Jan (2010), check it out and if you like it, keep on using it, because it will be free forever.
