Sending media from your phone to a friends or visa versa is easily done using built in technologies or downloaded apps, but Hoccer looks to add a slightly more fun slant to things. The app is free on both Android and iOS and also sports a web interface. What’s different about sending files with Hoccer? You throw them.
Although Apple limit certain features, the app can potentially send a list of various media types; Applications, audio, bookmarks, contacts, photos, ringtones, text’s and more. The element of fun comes from the actual transition of the media files, you have two different ways to do it. Throw the files across and have other people catch the files which can be done between multiple people. Secondly, swipe to send to the other phone as they drag it across.
Hoccer uses Wi-Fi or a data connection to send files and determine your location in relation to other users. It’s a great bit of fun but also comes in handy for those out of the blue file transfers. This short video will demonstrate what Hoccer does.
You can download Hoccer from the Android Market and iTunes Store for free.
