Emailing a link to yourself so you remember it for later, we all do it at some point. Doing this can prove to be a effective way to bookmark links for later especially if you’re someone who regularly checks email. A fairly new website called cc:to me aims to make emailing yourself a interesting link less than a few clicks, all without leaving the page.

cc:to me only requires an email address to get started, and this is where the emails will be sent. Once you’ve submitted an email address there is a bookmarklet to install by simply dragging it to the bookmarks bar. You are also sent an email that contains the link to your private ‘admin page’.

Now you have the bookmarklet installed minimum effort is required to send websites to yourself, by just clicking the bookmarklet, add a quick note if you so wish and hit send. Instantly an email is sent for you to remember later. It couldn’t be simpler.

cc:to me also allows for a mobile number to be connected to the account which enables you to send notes via your phone to email. This can be set up on the private account page.

Overall cc:to me is a quick solution to a very old problem, whereas sending a reminder email often took many clicks, copy / paste and all that, it’s now condensed down to two clicks and you’re done.
