I will exclude the obvious such as Facebook and Twitter, as I’m sure you’ll already have them.

Mobile Weekly: Twitter for Android Update
After a recent update to version 2.0, Twitter for Android has become one of the best clients to use for checking up on your constant stream of tweets. Also the main menu screen has gone and it now loads you straight into your timeline. Other features inherited from its iOS cousin is the ability to pull down to refresh and the swipe menu which gives your the option to reply or the favourite the swiped tweet. The overall design of the app is slick, clean and well engineered. Get the whole story

It seems inspired from Apple’s online app stores, now for both iOS and Mac which allow you to view apps in your browser without launching iTunes first. Before the launch it has not been the easiest task to find and explore new apps, this brings the Android platform a directory which will encourage more developers to move onto the platform.

Twitter Magazines with Tweetmag
A new app was recently launched onto the iPad app store called Tweetmag, which in concept turns your Twitter feed into a newspaper type layout. Personally I don’t feel the app quite justifies it’s price, but I expect there will be extra features and improvements in the near future.
