Twitter as I’m sure you are aware is hosted online, and with the risk of anything that is online just disappearing, you need to keep backups of anything you post to online services. You can now backup you Twitter activity (tweets) onto a calendar that you own, daily and automatically. Not only does this ensure that your tweets are backed up, but allows you to search through and find out what you said on what day. The tool to use is called Twistory.
All you have to do is head on over to twistory.net to get started. Type in your Twitter username to ’sign up’. You will then see a stream of your recent tweets, just so you can check its you, and there is a few stats charts to the right hand side. At the top of this page is the options to add to your calendar.

As you can see you can use iCal, Google calendar and any other applications that support iCalendar.
It takes less than a few minutes, is free and will automatically update your calendar daily with your latest dates, placed on the right day, at the time of the actual tweet. You can try this yourself at twistory.net
