We have word that tomorrow (June 21st 2010) will be the release date of the new DestroyTwitter 2.0. At the moment the home page is just an promotion of 2.0 and the ability to download the current version of DestroyTwitter 1.7. So, what can we expect to see in the long awaited 2.0 update of DestroyTwitter? Here is a shortlist of what I would like to see. Get the whole story

What can we expect from DestroyTwitter 2.0?
Flash could soon be available everywhere with Smokescreen
Over the past few months the battle between Apple and Adobe has been ever changing and seems to have hit a dead stop as it seems Apple want nothing to do with Adobe’s Flash plugin as it is not open and would degrade the user performance. Instead Apple are promoting the use of the new HTML5 coding and seem to want all developers to drop like a coin and redesign all content on sites to be compatible with HTML5 instead of Flash. Changing all content across the web from Flash, which powers more content than you think is not easy or cheap, but a solution has arisen in the form of some very clever developers and their tool, Smokescreen.
Microsoft Office Online now open
Microsoft have launched the eagerly awaited (by some) Office Online experience. It’s simple to jump into if you have Live or Hotmail account and seems an adequate online solution that could become strong competition for other services like Google Doc’s. Get the whole story
Will you be amongst the growing number of people on QuitFacebookDay.com?
It would seem more and more people are now starting to understand the changes that Facebook have made (here is a small example diagram). A campaign has been launched called QuitFacebookDay, that is encouraging people who hold an account on the social networking site Facebook to ‘Quit’. The campaign site admits that “Quitting something like Facebook is like quitting smoking” and they are not that far off. The website holds a sturdy case against owning a Facebook account. Although you can change options and you have a choice in some of your privacy, these choices are not ‘Fair Choices’ and you being able to manage these choices is ‘damn difficult’ for (the average user) to understand and change. Get around those irritating “Join to see…” Facebook pages
There has been a massive outburst on the social networking site Facebook with groups that require you to join (like) to view the content. As most of us are curious, we are urged to join to see what is contained within, but sometimes faced with a fake or general disappointment. You can save both time and get around joining the groups with Bypass Facebook Fan Pages.
Fittr for Flickr in Google Chrome
Flickr is a amazing site for both budding and professional photographers everywhere. The site is highly populated and has a great user base willing to give feedback and view your images. If you use Google Chrome (Which, by the way I suggest) then you can enhance your usage whilst using Flickr. Get the whole story

Though there is yet to be a major company suffer this kind of problem, it is to be expected.
